Marvel Studios first unveiled Avengers: Secret Wars during the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022. Jonathan Majors was initially set to reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror; however, he was replaced following his departure in December 2023.

The Russo Brothers also produce the film through their studio, AGBO, ensuring their signature style is infused throughout the project.
